From Idea to Reality…
Looking back at how Divi Pixel began, it all started in April 2019 with a spark of inspiration. We wasted no time and jumped straight into the development process. After nearly a year of hard work and fine-tuning, we launched the first version of Divi Pixel in March 2020, complete with 12 modules and a set of custom Divi theme options.
The journey since then has been nothing short of incredible. We’ve expanded our offerings with a variety of new modules, optimized performance to ensure only the most necessary elements load, and added amazing features that have become go-to tools for web designers around the world.

2020
2020 was a year of growth for Divi Pixel. After launching our first version, we expanded the plugin with 13 new modules, bringing the total to 25 by year’s end. It was a year of creativity, evolution, and a commitment to delivering the best for our users.
Beginnings
In April 2019, Maciej invited Jan Thielemann to cooperate and this is how Octolab OU, the creator of the Divi Pixel add-on, was created.
Release
After 11 months of development, we have released the Divi Pixel with custom Divi Theme Settings and 12 Divi Builder modules.
Image Hotspot and Pricelist
Two weeks later we released 1st major update with 2 new modules added: Image Hotspot and Pricelist module.
Countdown Timer & Hover Box
At the end of March 2020, we released another update where 2 modules have been added: Countdown Timer and Hover Box modules.

2021
2021 was a year of refinement for Divi Pixel. We focused on improving performance and reliability while adding new modules like Balloon, SVG Animator, and the FAQ module with structured data, enhancing user experience and value.
Performance Update
At the end of January 2021, the long-awaited version 2.0 was released, in which not only a new Timeline module was added, but also the plugin’s performance was improved.
Balloon Module
The Balloon was released in March 2021. This module can display tooltips on your Divi website, but it also can be used for building beautiful and functional mega menus!
Divi Library Shortcodes
This is a very useful feature that will allow you to use Divi Library items inside other modules. You will see a new column in the Divi Library where you can copy the library item shortcode and place it in any other module which supports the text field.
FAQ module with structured data
The FAQ module with structured data will help you build professional FAQ pages with proper HTML markup that Google loves!
Introducing Image Slider
The Image Slider module will help you create amazing galleries with thumbnails navigation in no time! It can be used for creating hero sliders.
SVG Animator
With SVG Animator, you can easily add animated icons and illustrations to your Divi website and surprise your visitors with creativity and professionalism.
2022
2022 was our most exciting year yet, with 10 new modules, including popular ones like Advanced Tabs and the game-changing Popup Maker. It was a year of bold innovations, driven by our commitment to providing advanced tools for the Divi Pixel Community.
Info Circle
This creative module saves a lot of space by displaying content in a circle with icons, where the user can switch content by clicking on the icons placed in the circle.
Introducing Advanced Tabs for Divi
The Divi Pixel Advanced Tabs module comes with dozens of powerful settings, that will help you create beautiful tabbed areas on your Divi site, where users can easily switch between contents using tabs navigation.
Horizontal Timeline
The timeline is one of the best ways to display chronological events in a neat and accurate style. A timeline is the presentation of a chronological sequence of related events along a drawn line that enables the reader to quickly understand time-related or time-limited relationships.
Maintenance Mode
The new Divi Pixel functionality allows you to switch to Maintenance Mode with a few clicks. Based on feedback from Divi Pixel Users Community, we also added a very useful option that allows you to generate or set your own link so that the customer can visit the site and see the changes.
Introducing Expanding CTA for Divi
The Divi Pixel Expanding Bar module is highly customizable and will help you add an interactive Call To Action section that will expand while the user is in viewport.
Particles Backgrounds
The particle effect allows particles to be added to the background that may react to the movement of the mouse. The molecules may or may not be linked depending on the style chosen.

This is one of the most awaited modules added to the Divi Pixel plugin. . It comes with powerful triggering settings and free popup templates.

In 2024, we focused on preparing for Divi 5 by adapting all our modules to the new framework. Despite the challenge, we introduced new features like the Clear Divi Cache tool and customizable mobile menus with Popup Maker, ensuring Divi Pixel evolves with the times.
Divi 5 Compatibility
Work on converting our Divi Pixel modules is well underway. We’ve already successfully converted more than half of them, and we’re on track to complete the entire process by Q4 of 2025.

Will the New Divi Revolutionize the Way We Work?
Exciting times lie ahead for the Divi community! On March 7, 2023, Elegant Themes launched the Divi 5 Dev Alpha, signaling a significant change to the user experience. This release promises a number of improvements, including a faster, more streamlined experience designed to help developers seamlessly integrate custom modules and advanced features.
Since the alpha files were released to developers, our team has been hard at work updating and tweaking our Divi Pixel modules to ensure full compatibility with Divi 5. While there’s still some work to do, we’re making steady progress and are committed to ensuring everything runs smoothly when the new release arrives.
An official release date has yet to be confirmed, but we’re ready and eager for the next chapter in the Divi journey. Based on news from Elegant Themes, an official Beta version is coming soon.
